SaralReader (“the app”) is a PDF reader for Android, published by Saral Techies (Hasanpur, Amroha, Uttar Pradesh 244241, India), “we” or “us”. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes.
In short: the app doesn’t collect, upload, sell or share any personal data, and it doesn’t have permission to use the internet. Your documents, highlights and reading progress stay on your phone.
Data we collect
None. The app has no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no crash-reporting tools. It doesn’t request Android’s internet permission, so it can’t send any data to Saral Techies or to anyone else. We have no server that receives data from the app.

Permissions and file access
The app requests no special permissions: no internet, storage, camera, location, contacts, microphone, phone or SMS access. You choose each document with Android’s own file picker, or by opening it from another app, and the app only gets access to the files you pick. It keeps that access so the document can be reopened from your library, and gives it up when you remove the book.
Sharing your highlights
When you choose Share or Copy for your highlights, the text goes only to the app you pick or to your clipboard. Links inside a PDF open in your own browser, and the website you visit may collect data under its own privacy policy.
Sharing and selling
We don’t sell, rent or share any data, because we don’t collect any.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone.
Security
Your library, highlights and bookmarks stay in the app’s private storage, protected by Android’s app sandbox. Your documents remain under your control, in the place where you saved them.
Deleting your data
Remove a book from the library to delete its highlights, bookmarks and progress, or uninstall the app to delete everything it stored. Your PDF files are yours and stay where they are.
Changes to this policy
If a future version handles data differently, we will update this page and the date at the top, and the Data safety section on Google Play, before that version is released.
