Job card software for repair shops
Replace the paper job sheet book with a digital job card that records the device, the problem, the condition and the promise you made, in about the time it takes to write a slip.
The job card is the proof
Photos, condition checklist, accessories list and the customer's signature are all stored on one job card with a timestamped status history. When a customer questions what happened to their device, you open the job and show them.
In most repair shops the job card is where trouble starts. A carbon-copy slip has the customer name, a phone number written in a hurry and "display issue" in the problem column. Two weeks later the customer says the back panel was not cracked when they gave the phone, the slip is torn, and nobody remembers which technician took the job.
SaralBench turns the job sheet into a proper record. At the counter you pick the device from your own catalogue, enter the IMEI or serial number, tick the condition checklist, take photos and get the customer to sign on screen. The job card then follows the device through every status until delivery, with a QR sticker on the bag so anyone in the shop can find it in seconds. It runs in the browser on a counter computer, tablet or phone, so there is nothing to install.
Why paper job sheets keep costing you money
Disputes about the device condition
A scratch, a dent or a missing SIM tray that was not written down becomes your problem at delivery. Without photos and a signature, it is your word against the customer's.
Devices lost on the shelf
Ten black phones in ten plastic bags look the same. Staff waste time hunting, and sometimes the wrong phone goes back to the wrong person.
Promises nobody tracks
"Come back at 6 pm" is said at the counter and then forgotten. The customer comes back, the phone is not even opened, and you lose their trust.
No idea where a job is stuck
When the owner asks "what is pending?", someone has to walk to every technician. Jobs waiting for parts or customer approval sit for days without anyone noticing.
What goes into a SaralBench job card
Proper device intake
Device type, brand and model from your own catalogue, IMEI and serial number, accessories received (charger, cover, SIM, memory card) and the full repair history of that device if it came before.
Photos and condition checklist
Tick the condition checklist and take up to 8 photos with the camera of the counter phone or tablet. The proof is saved with the job, not in someone's gallery.
Customer signature on screen
The customer signs on the screen to accept the job sheet. The screen-lock code is stored encrypted and is never printed on the job sheet.
QR bag sticker
Print a 50x30 mm QR sticker on a thermal label printer and stick it on the bag. Scan it to open the job card, and record the shelf or bin location so the device is easy to find.
Status board and history
Every job moves from Received to Delivered with a full status history. The repair board shows jobs by status and the workload of each technician.
Promised time and overdue alerts
Set a promised time on every job. Overdue jobs are flagged, and a job timer shows how long the work actually took.
How a job card moves through your shop
Intake at the counter
Search the customer by phone number, pick the device, enter the IMEI, note the problem, tick the checklist, take photos and get the signature. Print the job sheet if the customer wants paper.
Tag and shelve
Print the QR sticker, put it on the bag and record the shelf or bin. The job appears on the repair board.
Diagnose and estimate
The technician runs the diagnostic checklist and adds internal notes. You send an estimate with good, better and best options, and the customer approves online and can pay an advance.
Repair, or send out
Do the work in-house, or mark it as an outsourced repair to a chip-level or specialist shop and track it until it comes back.
Quality check and ready
A quality check is done before the job can be marked Ready, so half-tested devices do not go back to customers.
Deliver and bill
Convert the job to a GST or non-GST invoice, collect payment and mark it Delivered. If a device is not collected, notices go out after 15, 30 and 60 days.
